Talk about it. Learn how to ask questions that get people discussing issues related to sexual abuse – including appropriate boundaries, risky behaviors, or the social influences that create an environment that sexualizes children. See "Let’s Talk: Adults Talking to Adults About Child Sexual Abuse." Child sexual abuse thrives in an atmosphere of silence and few families are comfortable talking about it. We can best prevent abuse by learning how to talk about our concerns within our families and within our communities.
